What will Apple surprise us with this year?
For the usual Apple events, during which new smartphones are presented, there are several months left. But there are already analyzes and predictions, especially regarding the most "budget" iPhone.
An analyst from KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo, shared his predictions about Apple products in 2018. The manufacturer is to launch three new models: two frameless flagships (5.8-inch and 6.5-inch, with OLED displays) and a cheaper, 6-inch, also frameless model with LCD display. This last model is especially interesting, which would be expected in the second half of 2018.
A cheaper iPhone would have some of the features known from the iPhone X, there would be, for example, Face ID technology, but the more expensive OLED display would be replaced with LCD, instead of a steel frame there would be left aluminum and a single camera instead of a double one in flagship copies. Apple could also resign from 3D Touch.
According to the analyst, this product (price estimated at 700-800 dollars in the US market), if the producer actually has it in the plans, would be a sales hit. This product in 2018-1019 would have been sold in approximately 100 million copies. Apple has not responded to this information.
