Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro
Two new Xiaomi models Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro debuted in India. We have already got to know their specifications and appearance - but today we confirm them from the official source.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is a rebranded model Redmi 5 Plus. It is a smartphone with a 5.99-inch display with FullHD+ resolution and 450 nits brightness, which has rounded corners and a 2.5D glass cover. The heart of the phone is the Snapdragon 625 processor, which can be supported by 3 or 4 GB of RAM. This memory will be combined with two variants of internal memory, 32 or 64 GB, which can be enlarged by microSD cards - but through hybrid slots, alternating with DualSIM.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 powers a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh through a classic microUSB port, and controls Android 7.0 with MIUI 9 interface. The smartphone is equipped with a front 5 Mpx camera and a 12-megapixel rear camera with a lens with brightness f /2.2. The phone is available in black, pink, gold or blue for 9999 or 11999 rupees, depending on the selected memory version - 3 + 32 or 4 + 64 GB. After conversion, the prices are 156 and 188 dollars.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is a completely new design, presented in India for the first time. At the same time, it is the first phone with Snapdragon 636 processor with eight-cores Kryo 260 clocked at 1.8 GHz and Adreno 509 graphics chip. For this model, buyers choose between 4 and 6 GB of RAM, which is accompanied by 64 GB internal memory. In this model we have the same battery as in Redmi Note 5 - 4000 mAh, but with QC2.0 fast charging - and just like in the phone described earlier, we have MIUI 9 interface here.
The display is also similar - 5.99 inches, FHD+, but cameras are definitely stronger. The rear is double, with a main matrix of 12 Mpx and lens f/2.2 and with an additional module 5 Mpx + f/2.0, which is responsible for the background blur effect. The front camera has as much as 20 megapixels and f/2.2 lens, and it also supports face recognition - for the first time in Xiaomi. Note 5 Pro has a more modern Bluetooth module - version 5.0, while Note 5 has version 4.2.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is available in black, gold, pink-gold and blue, and its prices, depending on the chosen version of RAM, are 13999 and 16999 rupees, or 219 and 266 dollars.
Both phones have fingerprint readers and infrared transmitters, and so far they are only available in India, through the official Xiaomi store or on the Flipkart website. Along with the telephones, the company also presented a new TV Mi LED Smart TV 4 with a diagonal of 55 inches and 4K HDR resolution. The device is distinguished by a very slim casing - for the most part it is 4.9 mm thick. Novelties will be available from February 22.
